Our team took part in Study Visit No.1 in Rotterdam as part of the URBACT Pioneers Accelerator program!
The visit took place on October 28–29, together with representatives from Kakanj, Široki Brijeg, and Lezha, who joined us in exploring Rotterdam’s inspiring examples of sustainability.
We would like to express our gratitude to our mentor for the warm hospitality and professional support, which made this visit even more meaningful.
We were truly impressed by Rotterdam’s innovative spirit: its green rooftops, the creative reuse of industrial areas such as the FENIX Museum, M4H, and Keilewerf 2, the iconic Cube Houses, and the harbor area with a newly developed urban beach, reflecting the city’s ecological commitment.
The abundance of bicycles and the minimal number of cars make Rotterdam a true model for sustainable mobility.
Another highlight was visiting Kinderdijk, the UNESCO-listed village of windmills, where people have lived in harmony with water for centuries. This place perfectly illustrates how traditional water management and modern environmental awareness can coexist.
This journey gave us valuable inspiration on how to make Senta greener, more livable, and more connected.
We are proud that Senta is among the pioneers building a sustainable future!
